Re-design of the New Zealand National Archives building integrating structure and programme that utilises concrete as the primary building material and design catalyst. Building concept developed from the Whakatauki “Whiria Te Tangata” (weave the people together) and traditional Tukutuku panels, connecting cultures, country and knowledge through design.
Shelly Bay Library consists of 3 developing projects contributing to the design of a public library. The library is explored through Site, Light, and Materiality in 3 separate iterations but continuously refers back to the design prompts of Discovery and Intimacy. The Library was developed through physical modeling and hand-drawn material representations.
